UHER'S GAME HAS BEEN SIMPLE

The change in Dominik Uher’s game has been simple.  So simple that it takes just one word to explain it, “Confidence,” Chiefs Head Coach Hardy Sauter said with told-you-so shrug of the shoulders.

“Before Christmas, he was a new kid in a new country on a new team and was probably a little overwhelmed.  Since he came back he has a new confidence and a sense of belonging.  The numbers are a reflection of that.”

Two goals and seven points in a five game scoring streak have paced the Chiefs since January 9th.  In the 22 games prior, Uher had just one goal and four points.  January 15th was his first career multi-point game with two assists in a win at Lethbridge.  The following night he had a goal and assist at Kootenay.

“He deserves everything he’s getting,” Chiefs Assistant Coach Jon Klemm said.

“He’s going to the net, finishing his checks and outplaying everyone he’s playing against and he’s having fun doing it.  There’s nothing fluky about what he’s doing,” Sauter finished.

Uher and the Chiefs travel this weekend to begin a four-game in five-night stretch beginning on Saturday night in Tri-City.  The game can be heard live on 105.7 the Peak with Comcast HockeyTonight beginning at 6:30.
