The WHL Champion Spokane Chiefs have arrived in Spokane and will be leaving Avista Stadium at 7:00 and will be traveling to the Spokane Arena for a Championship Rally.
With their escort and Ed Chynoweth trophy in tow, the Chiefs will use the following route through downtown:

The Spokane Chiefs are WHL Champions. A 4-0 sweep of the Lethbridge Hurricanes has earned Spokane the first ever Ed Chynoweth Cup and a berth into the Memorial Cup in Kitchener, Ontario from May 16th through the 25th.
With three goals, two of them game winners, Spokane native Tyler Johnson was named the series Most Valuable Player. Johnson scored to make it 2-0 on Wednesday night and Spokane tallied two more times for the win. Mitch Wahl, David Rutherford and Ondrej Roman also had goals for the Chiefs.

VIDEO REPLAY TO BE USED IN 2008 WHL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES

Calgary, AB -- The Western Hockey League announced today that video replay will be used throughout the 2008 WHL Championship Series between the WHL MNP Eastern Conference Champion Lethbridge Hurricanes and the WHL Kal Tire Western Conference Champion Spokane Chiefs. The 2008 WHL Championship series begins tonight at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.
The video replay system will be identical to the format that will be used by the Canadian Hockey League during the MasterCard Memorial Cup, which will be held in Kitchener, Ontario from May 16 - 25, 2008.
