SPOKANE HOSTS GAMES 3 & 4 OF CONFERENCE FINALS

Apr 25, 2011 - 07:07 PDT

With their Western Conference Finals tied at 1-1, the Spokane Chiefs will host the Portland Winterhawks in games three and four on Wednesday and Friday in the Spokane Arena.  Tickets for both games are on sale now at the Chiefs ticket office and at all TicketsWest locations.  Tickets can be purchased over the phone by calling (509) 535-PUCK (7825), (800) 325-SEAT (7328) or by logging onto www.ticketswest.com.

On Wednesday night, the Chiefs are handing out 1,500 boxes of Macaroni and Cheese and are encouraging all fans to bring their own to use as noisemakers.  Friday night is Buck Night as hot dogs, Coca-Cola products and popcorn will all be available for just $1 all night long.

Spokane used a 2-1 win last Friday night to stake their claim to a 1-0 lead in the series but Portland turned things around on Sunday night in a 2-1 victory of their own.

Sunday marked the first time the Chiefs were outshot in 13 playoff games as Portland bested Spokane by a 36-35 margin.  The winning team has scored a power play goal in each game as both teams are 1-6 in the series with the man-advantage.

Sunday night also marked the first time since December 29th, 2009 that Spokane lost a game in regulation in Portland.  Since that 4-3 loss the Chiefs had gone 8-0-1-0 on the road versus the Winterhawks including regular season and playoffs.  Spokane was 2-3-0-0 at home versus Portland in the regular season.
