The Spokane Chiefs, in conjunction with the Tri-City Americans, SWX in Spokane and KVEW TV in Tri-City, have announced a 10 game broadcast schedule that will feature five live broadcasts out of each market. The broadcast schedule will begin this Saturday night when the Chiefs and Americans open the 2011-12 WHL regular season in Tri-City’s Toyota Center.
Kevin Uretsky will have the play-by-play call while former Chief captain and NHL veteran Kevin Sawyer will provide the color commentary.
Spokane’s home opener on Saturday, October 1st in the Spokane Arena will also be broadcast live.
The broadcasts will be seen live in Spokane on SWX via Comcast on channel 115 and over-the-air at digital channel 6.2. The game will be seen live in Tri City on KVEW’s digital channel, MyNetwork, via Charter Cable channels 78 & 280 and also over-the-air.
“It was a great partnership during last spring’s playoff series and we look forward to a great 2011-2012 regular season,” Brett Sports & Entertainment’s Chief Marketing Officer Dave Pier said.
